Tonight was my work Christmas Party it was a lot of fun! LeeAnn & Cameron even came!! The owner and his kids cooked dinner for all of us. It was interesting they made us traditional food from El Salvador. Most of it was really good some not so much. They had this cake not sure what it was called but it was made with 3 different types of milk. We drew out names for the gift exchange I got Mario the owner had a really hard time picking something out for him. What do you get an older man who already has everything??? I ended up getting Mario a flannel shirt and 2 big bags of his favorite candy (Worthers) Jeanne drew out my name and she got me a really soft, fuzzy vest and a Christmas Angel ornament. After we all ate and did the employee gift exchange we were all given a number and then they put them all in a little bucket and if your number was drawn out you get cash any where from $10-$200 my number didn't get drawn out but oh well. For a month all the tips we get from to go orders are put in a jar Mario, Sonia, Sulema & Quay decide on which employee gets all the tips and they choose Brooke!! We are all so happy for her she is a cancer survivor she just found out a couple weeks ago she is cancer free!!! Sonia came up to me and said that it was between me, Brooke, and Veronica and they decided to give it to Brooke because of everything she has gone through the last couple of years. After the party ended Paul took the boys home and I stayed to help clean up Veronica came back after she took her kids home. I am so lucky to be working for such a great family!!!! I owe it all to my best friend Veronica for telling me about the job. I was so scared to be a waitress I wanted to be the hostess really glad that my manger Quay talked me into being a waitress! For the most part I really do like all my co-workers. I have realized that I am an old lady because I am very tired of all the drama that the teenagers and young adults bring to work. I really need to learn Spanish so that I can talk to Mario his wife Ameilia (who is an inspiration to all of us for trying to get her US Citizenship) also so I can understand the cooks and the dishwasher too!!!
After we got done cleaning up me and Veronica went shopping at Walmart and 7-11 (who knew you can get good movies and games there) I got a couple of presents need to figure out what to get the boys and Paul. I thought boys were supposed to be easy to shop for???

We are super proud of her wish that I was that talented. I know that the series is going to be a HUGE SUCCESS!!!! Paul is always bragging to anyone who will listen that his little sister (who got to drink gasoline from the pool) is a famous author. My boys are also bragging about their aunt and how they really want her to come talk to their school. Peggy I don't know what I can say that everyone else hasn't already said. Too many deaths lately
I know that death is a natural part of life, I have realized that I am extremely selfish person. I don't want to let go even though I know that it is for the best and that for the most part they are not suffering anymore.
Halloween my cousin Warren called me to tell me that his wife Uny had passed away. She was only sick for 2 weeks they found out she had a rare blood auto immune disease. She started to show signs of improvement on Tuesday and she was gong on Thursday. So not fair!!!!!! Uny was the sweetest little Korea lady I have ever met. She was so kind she met my cousin while he was stationed in the Army over in Korea she left her family and traveled all over the world with Warren she worked on post usually at the the PX and that is how she learned English she still struggled with it but you knew what she was saying. They were not able to have kids and so they had these 2 chihuahuas that were her kids. She had the most gorgeous garden that I have ever seen she had a 2 green thumbs whatever she planted turned out to be gorgeous. She was a fabulous cook introduced me and my brother to Korean food. When my brother was told he had only months to live I took him on a surprise trip to Indiana to see his grandpa, aunts and our sister before he died. As we were traveling Warren and Uny opened their home up to us and took us to see my uncle John Warren or "JW" I will never forget that she didn't even know us and she welcomed us with open arms. I am heart broken because I was not able to go to Colorado Springs to the services but I know they understand. I just wish I could have been there for Warren.
This past weekend there was another family member who has passed away Sevie Sue Chatwin Hathcock. Sevie and my parents were good friends and her son Johnnie was best friends with my brother Ernie. Growing up and working the cherries with Sevie is a time I will never forget. After Paul and I got married we were over at his parents house and his mom was trying to find an address in Hideaway Valley because her cousins daughter had passed away. I go who are you looking for I have some really great friends out there and come to find out it was the same person. Me, Paul, and the older boys would go out to Hideaway Valley for a barbecue and they would come down for the boys birthday parties when they were little. Muir-Roberts shut down and we all got busy with life and lost contact with each other. Julie called to let me know that Sevie had passed away in her sleep they are thinking that she had a heart attack. After many many phone calls later we had finally found out that the service was going to be on Sat out in Indianola then the burial will be in Tabonia. The night before the funeral I got a phone call asking if I would give the closing prayer and if Julie would speak at the service because growing Julie and Sevie were really close. Me and Julie rode up there together and Julie didn't feel comfortable talking so she did the prayer and I did the eulogy 5 mins before it was to start we found out that there was no obituary written so we had to hurry up and write something. I had no idea what to say so between me, Julie, Eric (Sevie's brother) and Jesse (they youngest son) I was able to get some information then I just kinda of winged it. Everyone said I did a good job but I think that Julie did the best on saying the closing prayer. Lots of drama going on I was asked to go to Tabonia to say the prayer. I got a hold of my boss and he said that it was ok I can go. Julie drove home and I rode to Tabonia with John and we just talked and talked, decided to not let life go by and plan on getting together soon. Finally got to Tabonia and it was so cold and snowing lots of fog. Met Paul's uncle Maury gave him so copies of the program and started the burial because the weather was getting worse and after it started Sherry and her family showed up. Finished met some of Paul's relatives. I will never forget Paul's uncle Maury telling me that they grew up in the house next to the tractor there were 3 tractors!?! Rode home with John to Hideaway Valley horrible weather car accidents on highway 6 and some guy got hit by a train so sad. Johnnie drove me back to Payson and it was nice to talk and visit with him. Made me realize how short life is and its pointless to stay mad and angry live laugh and love because you never know what will happen.

Andrella Lopez Cross
One of my best friends passed away on Aug 19 2013 from cancer. Drell was diagnosed with uterus cancer in 2011 I went with her to the doctors when she found out that she had cancer. She was already advance stage 4 they said there was nothing they could do for her she had maybe 3 months to live. She asked me to keep it quit because she didn't want to worry her husband or family. That was really hard for me to do. My older sister Gail met Andrella when they were in middle school and then our families became best friends. The first time that Gail brought Andrella over to our house I was 5 yrs old and I walked up to her and kicked her in the shin some 30 odd years later she has never forgotten that and would always remind me of how I kicked her. Her older sister Lyna is my best friend in the whole wide world and she is mine and Scott godmother, their sister Nikki is Jake's godmother. I went to some of her doctor appointments with her but mainly Lyna went. When she got diagnosed with cancer it had started in her uterus and cervix but it had spread through out her whole body. It was in her bones basically every where. The doctors said chemo and radiation would not help her at all the only thing they can do for her is to giver her some thing for the pain and gave her calcium they were afraid of her breaking a bone. Drell continued to work out almost every day in the gym and the doctors told her she shouldn't run she didn't listen she would run then walk so that way she can tell the doctor she did walk on the tread mill. After her calcium treatments her cancer levels started to go down they don't know why it shouldn't have so they did a couple of radiation treatments. For a year her cancer levels kept dropping and even looked like she was going to go into remission. She finally did have to slow down her work outs at the gym no matter how sick she was she could still kick anyone's butt on lifting weights and even walking on the tread mill. It broke my heart because she was never truly honest with her husband or her family with how bad everything was. Between me and Lyna we knew the whole story. Drell didn't want anyone to feel sorry for her or treat her any different. She went in to the hospital they thought she had pneumonia and she passed away a week later, the Friday before she passed away she quit work. Her kidneys and everything were shutting down, the hardest part about it is that her husband didn't understand what was going on Drell said its not a big deal go to work I will be fine. Dave gets to the hospital and had to find out from the doctors how bad it really was with Drell. Drell didn't want anyone to see her in that way she wanted people to remember her how she used to be, she asked me to be "a bitch" to keep everyone out of her room. It was so hard to try and tell her aunts and cousins they can't come and say their goodbye's to her. I am grateful that Raquel and her husband Jason came from Chicago and stayed same with her sister Loretta and her family came from California unfortunately her 2 brothers Anthony and Steve were not able to come to the hospital as they both lived out of state. I still miss getting a phone call or text message from her. Saying we need to go get our nails done or lets go out to eat. Drell was much more then a friend to me she was part of my family. I know she is in a better place and my heart still aches for her. One day I will see her again. I often think about why she asked me to go to the doctor with her when she found out she had cancer and not her family or even her husband. I was told that Drell knew that I am strong enough to handle this and be there for her. I really wish I had that much strength and confidence in myself that she had in me. Drell I will miss you and love you forever, you will never be forgotten.
I found this draft that I saved from last year
June 2 my brother Lester passed away of a heart attack. It was really hard especially learning that his cancer was in reamicsion. It was a shock to all of us. Bri called to tell me what had happened. Paul and the boys were fishing at Spring Lake. Nice thing is that his ashes were spread at Payson Canyon.
July 4th a friend and classmate was murdered early this morning. It was just crazy!!!!! KC Wright would not let a teenage neighbor come to his party he called his cousin and he came and stabbed KC twice once in the neck the other in his stomach. He died instantly. The thing with KC he would have been the first to throw the kid a party when he was 21. They 15 yr old who caused all of this is a girl who I went to school with son. He was living with his great grandparents next door. Still can't believe what is going on. Kala and I made black and red ribbons (they stand for murder) for the viewing, so the family and friends can show support for KC. Such a senseless act over something so stupid (alcohol) my thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family I know they are all still having a hard time.
Tim's birthday crazy fantastic day!!!!! Tim turned 14 and his older brother came home from his LDS Misssion all on the same day. Jason wanted his dad to be the first person he hugged when he got off the plane but his plane arrived early and it was his mom and sister that were there for him. Grandma, grandpa and Kristine's family and us were on time. Since when did planes arrive early???? Getting passed that went to grandparents house had a light lunch then went home to celebrate Tim's birthday :) It was great he had his friends, neighbor kids, cousins and sibilings come and spend the night. They all played night games and had water fights.
July 18, 2012 we had to be moved out of our rental home. It was so crazy how fast that happened. We didn't and still don't have an occupancy permit to live in the burned house. Wondering if we will ever get one. Contractors and sub-contractors still don't show up. Have another big meeting today with everyone.
Jennifer Shana's little sister her husband passed away. They went camping and even took Jessica with them. Jessica is the one who found her uncle Nick passed away in the tent.
I am still having problems with my family one day we all might get along. I keep hoping at least.

Where to begin....
It has been a long time since I have updated our blog and so much has happened I will try and start from the beginning so here it goes.
Paul's daughter LeeAnn got engaged on Feb 16 2013 to Cameron Larsen. They were planning on getting married in April 2014 but they eloped June 22 2013 we found out that they were married at LeeAnn's college graduation from Ameritech College as a dental assistance So proud of her!!!!!! Days before her college graduation LeeAnn called Paul to say he is going to be a grandpa!!!! We were shocked but so excited that LeeAnn is going to have a baby. Paul still walks around with a goofy smile ask him what he is thinking about and he says "I'm going to be a GRANDPA!!!! My little girl is having a baby" LeeAnn called her dad and let her know that she is having a girl and she is due April 19 2014 (The Wheeler's love to have babies in April) Paul has been telling me that LeeAnn has been really sick during her pregnancy where she has to go to the hospital and get IV's (ouch) I am so excited for LeeAnn & Cameron I know that they are going to be great parents!!! The boys are so excited to be an uncle and to finally have a little girl in the family!
Jason is working and going to school at UVU living with grandma & grandpa. Jason has been coming down and spending more time with Paul and the boys I am so glad that he does. I know that Paul is really quite and don't talk alot I just hope that all the kids realize how much their dad loves them and how proud he is of all of them. I love having Jason come and spend time with Paul and the boys I just get really nervous because someone always ends up with burn marks because of some homemade taser they made trying to out do themselves. Jason is also teaching his brothers how to make things go boom, he definitely takes after his dad. I don't know how Dennis and Julie survived being Paul's parents or his brothers and sisters making it to adult hood. Seeing that everyone survived without too much therapy gives me hope
Scott is going to be going through driver's ed in Jan. I am a mean mom I made him earn the money to pay for drivers ed and his learners permit. Scott was an alternate working in the cherries at McMullins over the summer. Basically if someone called in sick or didn't show up he went in to work. Scott has also been taking care of his Godmother Lyna's lawn over in Orem and some of the neighbors here in Payson. Todd and Larry Carter have also been giving Scott odd jobs to do. I have the best neighbors ever!!!!! Scott is currently in 11th grade and he is taking computer classes over at ALC (Advanced Learning Center) in Springville. When Scott graduates from high school I believe he will be 5 credits short from getting his Associates Degree!! He got all the brains from his dad!! Scott is also working on getting his Eagle Scout Project, I believe he is going to be making transition boards for people who are in wheelchairs for UVRMC Rehab. Scott has to do an interview process and then get his project approved. I will keep you guys updated! I am really lucky that the boys have some really great friends who are good kids, Scott and his friends are all tall with long hair but the girls tease Scott about looking like "Thor" I am so not ready for the boys to be dating or having girlfriends :( I wonder if I will ever be ok with it??? Scott is finally taller then his dad I believe he is 6'2"
Tim is also working on getting his Eagle Scout he still hasn't picked out a project yet (hopefully he will soon) Tim is doing so much better in school this year!! Very very proud of him! He is a Peer Tutor he helps kids who are challenged to get to their class and keep them on task. Tim is so good on helping everyone!!! I can't believe he is already 15 and he can get his learners permit we have decided that we will take him to get his learners permit when all of his grades are up. Yes, Tim takes after me and talks way too much in class :) This summer Tim has also been helping out the neighbors with yard work and whatever they need help with, Tim has also grown alot over the summer he is taller then me and is catching up to his dad I think he is 5' 7" not really sure all I know he is taller then me and shorter then Paul and Scott. Tim got asked to his first high school dance :) Cute girl names Ally asked him to Sadie Hawkins they had a BLAST!!! Ally got a dead fish that has been cleaned and gutted put a note inside it with her name on it. She knocked on the door left the fish (wrapped in plastic wrap) and a cute scrap book paper saying "You would make me the HAPPIEST FISH in the pond if you would go to Sadie Hawkins with me" Then on the outside of the fish it said "Look inside to find out who asked him" It was really cute!! She really knew Tim for her to do something like that because he is still loves all animals and bugs!!! It took a couple of days for Tim to come back with a response. Who knew you can't just say yes anymore? Tim and his best friend Chase went and caught a small fish, we blew up 80 balloons and filled them with Swedish Fish then cut out a bunch of fish and decorated her bedroom walls with fish and balloons all over the floor with confetti. They filled one of the balloons with the fish they caught and left it on her bed. In one of the balloons it said "YES" he will go to the dance with her. They decorated t-shirts with glow in the dark paints went to a magic show and out to dinner at Mi Rancherito They were so cute!!!!!!
Brandon is in 6th grade his last year at elementary (sniff sniff) I can't believe he is going to be in Jr High next yr!! Where does the time go?? Brandon is also active in Scouts he is currently working on getting his "Arrow of Light" I am his Asst. Scout leader. We have alot of fun coming up with fun things to do in Scouts. Scott & Tim have been helping Brandon & Jake with their merit badges. Brandon loves to make tasers and shock everyone. So if he ever asks you to grab a hold of a wire don't do it or at least be prepared to get shocked. Brandon has been fixing up old Kirby vacuums and also doing something with capacitors. Brandon has also been using transistor color codes to help with his math which means he is giving his teacher a hard time because she don't know anything about them. Brandon also loves guns, he can tell you all about guns and is so excited that Utah is the only state that has a state gun the Browning 1911. Brandon can not wait to go through Hunter Safety and he wants to be a junior NRA member. Brandon already has his coyote license. So if anyone wants to go Coyote hunting he would love to go with. Brandon adores Scott he wants to have his hair long like Scott and we said ok but the same rules will apply to him if he gets bad grades then his hair gets cut. For Halloween all 3 6th grade classes did a pumpkin decorating contest and he won 3rd place!!! So proud of him and his friends.
Jake is super sweet and sensitive until you make him mad then watch out!! Jake is always "Smithing" he wants to be a Black Smith when he grows up. He is always finding metal and making swords and shields out of them. He will stay outside for hours and hours working on a piece of metal to get it just right. He was so happy when Paul got him an "Anvil" Out of all the kids Jake is the one who spends all his time outside. I don't know how to get Jake excited about school and reading. None of my kids like to read which I think is sad because I love to read. Jake is best buddies with our neighbor Todd. Jake is also in scouts and he loves it this is his first year and he is like finally I get to do the things that everyone else gets to do. He got to go on his first father son camp out!! He loves to make things out of wood and metal he takes his time and thinks it out before he begins any of his projects. Jake will explain in great detail what he is doing and why he is doing it and how you can't miss a step in making something or it will be ruined. I was so surprised when he asked Paul if he would light a fire and it has to get really hot so you can change the shape of the metal. He even knows what temperature it needs to be to change the shape of the metal between 1500 - 1800 degrees and you can also tell how hot it is because of the color of the metal. He is so upset because he doesn't have goggles, leather gloves and a leather apron can't forget the leather shoes and to protect your arms. You have to have a bucket of water to cool down the metal. Jake is in the process of making something to hold the piece of metal in the fire so he won't get burned it has to be a special tool not like the regular tongs we have if you don't have the right equipment you can get burned, and even the metal can shatter and when that happens its really bad. If the metal shatters then it is way too hot and that's one of the worst things. I can't believe he knows all this and he is only 8 yrs old.
I am so proud and amazed with all my kids!!!
I have wrote enough for now I know this is really long and I will try to update it more often so that my next one isn't so long.

New Job
I have been working as a waitress at Mi Rancherito Mexican restaurant in Payson for almost 2 months. I have so much more respect for waitresses!!! It really is hard work! Even though it is hard work I really enjoy it especially the owners, the Solorzano's family they are from El Salvador. I have some great co-workers I really enjoy working with one of my best friends Veronica from my childhood. I really want everyone to remember that waitresses get paid from the tips we leave, most of us make only $2.15 hr so we all depend on our tips.
