Scouts

Last night was Brandon's first pack night. It was so much fun!!! He has already earned his Bobcat and many more badges!!!! Brandon had to pin the Bobcat on my shirt but they have started a new tradition not sure why. But Paul had to hold Brandon upside down as he pinned the Bobcat pin on me (luckily I didn't get stuck) after they did their skit we went to the gym and played kickball our team won, Jake had so much fun playing!!!
Scott and Tim were not able to come to pack night with us. They were doing a service project at the Walkers. Their service project was to build Eagle nests and next weekend they are taking them down to the Mona area and setting them up. The boys had fun!! I am so glad that they like to go and do fun things with Scouts

Nicki's accident

On May 26th as we were celebrating LeeAnn's graduation I received a phone call from Lyna telling me that her sister Nicki (Jake's Godmother) has had a horrible accident. Rushed to the hospital without a second thought.

When I got there I had found out that Nicki was Mtn biking down the easy trail at Sundance with her niece Raquel's fiancée Jason. They were at the last 5 mins of the trail on a access road that had dips, bumps don't know what to call it. She wrecked luckily she was wearing a helmet and that someone was riding the ski lift up and saw it and was able to alert the authorities. They arrived on scene within a couple of minutes. Her breathing was very labored so she was life flighted to UVRMC and rushed into emergency surgery to try and relieve the pressure on the brain. At first they thought her jaw was shattered but it wasn't. Some how she has no broken bones, sprang. The right side of her face is black and blue and swollen. But the worst part is the injury on the left side of her brain. She has a lot of swelling on the left frontal lobe that is pushing on her eye. There is some bleeding in the front part of her brain. She also has small liaisons all over her brain. No one knows if it was a medical condition that caused her to wreck or if she just lost control. She is still unconscious and it has been 9 days. The dr said that she has blood pooled around her brain stem on the part that wakes you up. He does not expect her to wake up for at least 2 weeks. There are small signs that she is doing. Don't know if she is doing it on her own or if its reflex. Please pray for her and her family they need all the help.

LeeAnn's graduated!!!!

I am so excited for LeeAnn!!! She did it graduated from Provo High class of 2011
I promised myself I wouldn't cry but I did, I am so proud of her! She looked gorgeous as usual in her white cap and gown.
Amusing part of graduation were some kids bouncing a beach ball around before the teacher took it. Also when the school district said she announces that Provo High class of 2009 has graduated. I wasn't quite sure I heard her right until I looked at Paul and he had the same puzzled look as everyone else.
Watching LeeAnn grow into a beautiful, smart, young lady has been an exciting and very proud time of my life. I am so very honored to be a part of it. Love you LeeAnn so proud of you and can't wait to see and be part of your next adventure in life. Congrats!!!!!!
